We offer a wide variety of manufacturing so that we can help our clients regardless of the project
Milling
Milling is a machining process used to remove material from a workpiece by advancing a cutter into it. This process is typically performed by a milling machine, which employs rotating multi-point cutting tools to shape the workpiece. Milling can be done in various orientations, including horizontally or vertically, and it allows for a wide range of operations and features to be machined, such as slots, holes, and even complex surface contours.
We have brand new CNC Mills to maintain the highest precision as well as traditional mills for flexibility.
Turning
Turning is a manufacturing process where a cutting tool is used to remove material from a rotating workpiece. This process is carried out on a machine called a lathe, which holds and spins the workpiece on its axis while the cutting tool is advanced into it. Turning is primarily used to produce cylindrical parts, such as shafts, rods, and spindles, by cutting away unwanted material from the workpiece.
We have brand new lathes to maintain the highest precision as well as traditional lathes for flexability.
Electrical Discharge Machining
Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), also known as spark machining or spark eroding, is a non-traditional machining method that employs electrical discharges or sparks to shape a workpiece. This process is particularly suited for machining hard materials or intricate shapes that are difficult to achieve with conventional machining techniques. The process is controlled and precise, allowing fine details held to incredibly tight tolerances.
We have a Charmilles Robofil Wire EDM Machine which is considered the industry standard. We also have a hole popper EDM to machine holes to either prepare a workpiece for Wire EDM or simply machine out a hole in a hardened part.
Water Jet Cutting
Water jet cutting is a versatile and precise material cutting process that uses a high-pressure stream of water mixed with abrasive particles, to cut through various materials. This method is known for its accuracy, efficiency, and ability to cut complex shapes without introducing heat or significant mechanical stress to the material.
We can cut any 2D shape upon request on this machine, especially if the CAD file has been provided.
Grinding & Polishing
Grinding is a machining process that employs an abrasive wheel as a cutting tool to remove material from a workpiece. This abrasive wheel, which contains grains of a hard, abrasive material spins at high speeds and grinds away the surface of the workpiece to achieve the desired shape, size, and finish.
We have surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, as well as Blanchard grinders so that we can grind any hard material of any shape and size.
Polishing is a finishing process that follows grinding. It involves using a softer wheel or a compound containing fine abrasive particles to create a high-quality finish with a high level of surface smoothness and minimal surface roughness. The objective of polishing is to achieve a mirror-like, reflective surface, free of scratches and imperfections.
Welding & Soldering
Welding is a fabrication process that involves joining two or more parts (usually metals or thermoplastics) by applying heat, pressure, or both, creating a strong, permanent bond. The process often involves melting the workpieces and adding a filler material to form a pool of molten material that cools to become a strong joint.
Soldering is a lower-temperature process compared to welding, used primarily for joining electrical components and detailed metalwork. It involves melting a filler metal, known as solder, which has a lower melting point than the adjoining metal. The solder is melted using a soldering iron and flows into the joint between two workpieces through capillary action.
We offer MIG welding, TIG welding, and Oxyacetylene welding depending on the job. We have several high quality old fashion Weller soldering stations that allows us to solder any requirement.
Assembly
Assembly is the process of combining various machined parts into a complete or sub-assembly unit as per the specifications or requirements of a project. This service is an integral part of the manufacturing process, especially when individual components produced in the machine shop need to be put together to form a functional product or a part of a larger system. We can assemble anything you provide the details on including when we are manufacturing the parts for the assembly.
We have several skilled workers who have been assembling the parts we create for years. Whatever we can do to make your life easier, just let us know.
Quality Inspection
Quality inspection is a critical process that ensures every manufactured part meets specific standards of precision and accuracy, adhering to the required specifications. This process involves a thorough examination of the parts using a variety of precision measuring tools and instruments to verify dimensions, alignments, and surface quality. We use a wide array of quality equipment to ensure every part we send out is perfect.
